Keep It Fresh. Keep It Timeless.
Watches are an extension of your style; and like anything stylish, they deserve proper care. Whether you rock an automatic mod or a quartz everyday piece, these 7 tips will keep your watch looking fresh for years.
🧼 1. Wipe It Down Weekly
Use a soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe sweat, dust, and fingerprints off the case and strap.
💦 2. Avoid Water Unless It’s Water-Resistant
Not all watches are made for the pool. Even if yours is water-resistant, don’t shower with it or expose it to hot water unless it’s rated properly.
🛠️ 3. Store in a Watch Box or Pouch
Protect your piece from scratches and dust when not in use. Store in a soft pouch, box, or dedicated case.
🔋 4. Service It Every Few Years (Automatic Only)
Mechanical watches need servicing every 3–5 years. This ensures the gears, seals, and lubricants are fresh.
🧽 5. Clean Metal Bands with Soap and Water
Remove the band (if possible), soak it in warm soapy water, scrub lightly with a soft brush, then dry fully.
🧴 6. Avoid Chemicals (Perfumes, Lotions, etc.)
They can stain leather and dull metal. Apply cologne before you wear your watch — not after.
🔒 7. Tighten Screws and Check Straps Monthly
Loose spring bars or screws can lead to drops. Give your watch a quick inspection once a month.
